Valley View Golf Club was designed, built and operated in the early 1960s by brothers Lee and Emerson Stuckman who ran the Crawford Nursery prior to that. The course has remained in the Stuckman family with Lee's son Mike serving as owner and operater for the past 25 years.
Valley View is located right on the Sandusky River watershed. Rain that falls on the front 9 goes north to the Sandusky River, and then to Lake Erie. Rain on the back nine flows south to the Olentangy, Scioto, Ohio and Mississippi Rivers ending up in the Gulf of Mexico. This unique geography of rolling hills and elevation changes makes Valley View an interesting layout.
Some of the original large virgin timber remains, including the oldest Elm Tree in this part of the state on the 6th hole. In addition to the original timber, an interesting variety of trees has been planted over the years.
Valley View is moderately long, but is known as requiring accurate tee shots and approach shots to the greens. The greens are usually fast and the front nine is especially undulating. Golfers of all abilities will find this to be a good test.
Valley is known for its spectacular flower beds and attractive landscaping. Most significantly, Valley View is known for being named The Best Public Golf Course in the area for 6 straight years.
Valley View Club House Restaurant will be open for serving breakfast and lunch beginning April 1st.
